1977 began a 32-year railroad career in Jacksonville, FL on Seaboard Coast Line RR
1984 hired by Amtrak for Auto Train service as a Locomotive Engineer
Served on safety committee and as Vice Local Chairman BLE&T Div35 representing engineers in Sanford, FL
2006 served on planning committee for BLE&T S/E Regional Meeting in Orlando, FL
2009 retired from Amtrak
2010 relocated to Elkton, MD and opened a successful retail model train business. Joined Rotary Club and served as Secretary for two years and attended district leadership conferences and regional conventions. Also, served on executive committee of North East, MD Chamber of Commerce
2014-2018 relocated back to Florida and worked as Receiving Manager for two retail businesses and as Engineer/Conductor for Orange Blossom Cannonball tourist train
December 2018 joined NARVRE Unit 070 DAYTONA BEACH and has served as Legislative Representative since May 2019
2019 co-chaired NARVRE Florida State Association (FSA) Conference in Daytona Beach, FL
January 2021 joined Unit 066 WILDWOOD and was appointed Vice-President of Unit
March 2021 appointed to NARVRE national social media committee as instructor and mentor to new Facebook groups
Visited 6 Area 1 Units prior to Covid and in March 2022 visited and revitalized Unit 022 FLORENCE, SC
