A compelling source has checked out the information that was recently posted on this page, relative to reports that the Heritage Foundation had made an alarming statement to include Railroad Retirement. The following statements have been reported to NARVRE, and we will consider them worthy, while we continue to remain vigilant in protecting our railroad retirement system.

1) They (Heritage Foundation) have not recently written anything on RR retirement and are not planning to do so;

2) RR retirement is not a priority issue for them;

3) They assert that their letter did not even mention RR retirement; And they state the information is not accurate.

The source further states this regarding Heritage(our edit):
This is somewhat confusing but I take them at their word and don’t believe they will be coming after our retirement program. We will stay in touch with them and their allies and alert you immediately if we sense a change in direction.
